Legend holds that upon the island of Lafondale grows a forest electric--a wood run through with a live current that has strange effects on its animal inhabitants. Applying a phonographic needle to such a slice of wood produces the forest's voice, amplified and translated for human ears. The voice of this forest is unique-- the Electric Madrigal Society.
